Joseph Barrato
CEO, Director of Investment Strategies
Joe is a founding member of Arrow Investment Advisors, LLC, the advisor to Arrow Funds. His responsibilities include investment strategy, business development and marketing. Joe's experience of more than 25 years includes six years at Rydex Investments, where he was positioned at the helm of Rydex research, educating financial intermediaries on how to use Rydex Funds. He created fundamental and technical research tools and developed momentum models with Rydex sector funds. As Director of Product Development, he was responsible for researching new strategic opportunities, as well as creating high-quality investment products and services. He also initiated the research to create and launch the firm's first buy-and-hold mutual fund, the Rydex Sector Rotation Fund. Joe and his team were responsible for developing innovative index and smart beta ETFs, including the S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (Symbol: RSP).

Prior to Rydex, Joe spent 12 years at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. As a financial analyst, he assisted economists and analyzed monetary aggregate data. As a senior financial examiner, he advised Fed officers and board officials on financial, operational and managerial enhancements. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The George Washington University, where he majored in finance and minored in accounting.

John R. Serrapere
Director of Research
John has been advising investors since 1983. He currently serves as President of Arrow Insights and provides ongoing research for investors seeking alternative investment options and consults on hedge strategies for institutional investors. He was formerly the analyst and investment strategist for Foster Holdings, Inc., a large Pittsburgh-based family office. John previously served as a principal of Rydex Leveraged Hedges, LLC, where he designed registered and non-registered products. John has been published in The Journal of Indexes, Financial Advisor Magazine, Corporate Finance ReviewThe Retirement Planning Journal and was featured as the "Active Indexer" for Index UniverseHe writes a regularly featured column titled "InFocus" for Arrow Insights.

Jonathan S. Guyer
Portfolio Manager

Jon joined Arrow Investment Advisors in October 2013 after spending seven years with Longview Funds Management, LLC. During his tenure at Longview, he served the Principal, Director of Research and Chief Investment Officer of the firm. Prior to Longview, Jon spent seven years as the head of the Proprietary Hedge Fund Group of Alex Brown & Sons, Inc., followed by five years serving as the head of Alternative Investment Product Development for Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. Throughout his investment management career, he has practical experience working with index design, active portfolio management, trading, manager selection, due diligence, marketing and fund administration.

Prior to his career in investment management, he spent eight years in the audit industry, serving as a senior audit manager for commercial banks and trust companies. Jon earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Amit Gutt, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Amit Gutt, CFA has been a Portfolio Manager at Arrow Investment Advisors, LLC since January 2019. He is responsible for performing quantitative research, portfolio management and trading across multiple asset classes. Prior to joining Arrow, Amit worked in emerging markets equity research at KAUST Investment Management, a multi-billion dollar endowment, and at the United States Department of Commerce.  

Amit holds a B.S. in Financial Economics from University of Maryland Baltimore County, a Master of Arts in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. His primary research interests include quantitative and fundamental analysis across global equity markets and volatility modeling. Amit is also a CFA charterholder.
